We have said this before many times but it bears repeating. As indie authors, we do not have the resources to spend thousands of dollars on marketing. We depend on you the reader to help out by doing a couple of things.

  1. purchase our books. Sure it is fun to share, but everytime you share, our authors do not get a royality for that book While that royality may not be much, it is something. Our authors work very hard to produce a piece of art. They are worthy of their art. It is dis heartening to see books be stolen through the pirates that are out there stealing audibles to resell for a subscription, or to see an app where someone can go into a book store and use their phone to tap a book and download the book. Or to see websites where books are sold at little or no cost to be read or listened to. I see it every day. Each one of those books which are stolen cost my authors money. When a book is passed from one reader to another it cost my authors their royality. Imagine working for a company and not getting paid for your service. It is the same principle.
  2. When you do purchase a book please leave a review on Amazon. This helps the ranking of the book. Again, we as a small house do not have the funds to crate thousands of dollars in marketing. We market using social media and word of mouth. Also let your author know how much you enjoyed the book.
  3. If you tell an author who has a new book coming out, how much you can’t wait for that book and how you can’t wait to read it. Please, follow through. Again, our authors work hard.
  4. Last but not least, there are scammers out there who tell you that you can purchase at little or no cost. Do yourself a favor, our books are reasonable, do not get caught in the “I have a deal for you” scam. Go to Amazon and purchase your book. If you don’t know how or don’t have an account, get someone to order it for you. They can drop ship it to your home.
