If you have a child..,know a child..,work with children..are a child…need to nurture your inner child…lol!!! you MUST purchase this (and/or any others in this upcoming series-) focusing on mental health/emotional issues that children face!! Written by a Dr (Clinical Psychologist-), and “told” thru the eyes of a ten year old, this 1st edition helps readers understand, & negotiate the experience of grief,/loss and come out on the other side, with peace & understanding. Included in the book are professional guidelines for parents to help their child negotiate the ripples of grief/loss; fun facts about pigmy seahorses for the inquisitive child, qr codes your child can click on of actual seahorse encounters that the author has obviously joyfully experienced, & a customized, handcrafted genuine lapis lazuli bracelet with a seahorse charm attached to continue the healing process!! This book (and we imagine others in the series to follow-) are gentle toolkits, inspired by the author’s experiences in nature, and are a combination of reality & enchanting metaphor, for children navigating intimidating experiences encountered growing up in today’s world. The illustrations draw children in, as they are “crafted by” the 10 year old protagonist herself (wink wink; as envisioned by illustrator, Karen Lee-). A true bonus, the real win is that this book is a “feel good” purchase all the way around!! The book series supports a NONPROFIT organization that utilizes rescue horses at nonprofit barns to help others heal from the unspeakable ravages of chronic psychological trauma, so is a tax write off for all, also!! Truly a win-win for anyone whose path this book/series crosses; you wont regret a minute of this purchase!
