Our newest author Bonnie Clark has been on a journey of love and loss.
Here is a taste of her journey. She had agreed to let us publish her story so watch for it.
I was raised in a small community, married right out of high school. Our marriage was tumultuous at best. We had two beautiful children, however the marriage didn’t last. I was a single Mom working three jobs to support my two children. I have a very strong faith in God and prayed for peace and guidance daily. At my most challenging time of my life when I was nearly destitute, God sent me Errol. He embraced my children and myself with a love and compassion I had never known. We had 26 years together and raised two remarkable children into remarkable adults. With God first in our lives, we made it. We had plans for our 25th Wedding Anniversary to take a ski trip. However, God had a different plan. Cancer struck with a vengeance and our peaceful life was changed forever. We started this blog through Carringbridge, which was a blessing. This blog reached 100’s of people and the daily comments of encouragement and prayer helped us through this journey. After his death, my world stood still. I didn’t know who I was without him. My wonderful family and friends never left my side and I made a choice to live the best life I could. It is a choice and it was up to me. Errol’s memory is forever in my heart and my children’s hearts. With Gods guidance, I’m going to write more and listen a whole lot more.
