The Author, Linda “Ahnie” Humphrey
This East Tennessee journalist and grandmother first learned about powered paragliding when cancer introduced her to radiation oncologist Ken Strike, an avid paraglider. After she met other paragliders, she began writing poems for Cornfield Fliers of East Tennessee. She spent three years in search of someone to bring her book to life. She supports literacy, education, and children’s healthcare.
Linda has entrusted her children’s book Cornfield Fliers of East Tennessee to Midnight Publishing. It is an honor to have her with our little family.

The Illustrator, Mary Brotherton
The Space Coast, Florida editor and fine artist has published five and illustrated for other authors. She uses her imagination and an AI program called Midjourney to illustrate her books.
Her book goes live on August 25th. We are working on a kindle and audio version for the children.
