Here is some insight as to what it would cost you to publish your book anyplace else. the price of editing depends on if the editor charges by word, page or manuscript or hour.
by word 0.02-0.08
by hour 37.00- 84.00
an 80,000 word manuscript can range fron 2,000- 4,000.00
the cover designs start at 399.00 and go up. (I have paid that much in the past.)
Marketing starts on the low end from 0-500 med end 500-2500.00 and the high end can go as high at 10,000.00 (no that is not a typo)
I show all of you this to show you exactly what it could cost you to be published. This does not include vanity presses, that say they don’t charge to publish your book, but you have to sign a contract stating you will purchase so many books. Books that will never sell. I have been down these road. I have spend money that never reaped results. That is why I know do what I do. This is why I do for all of you what I do. So let’s make this year steller.
When Sheri Ann Richerson got her first royality money from me a week or so ago she said it is the first time she has ever gotten paid for her books. She has been out there a while too and this is very sad.
