I was born and raised in Chappaqua, NY, a small town in the northern suburbs of New York City. From age 12 and up, I started availing myself of the wonders of the greatest city in the world, with a simple train ride costing fifty cents one way. I went to a very college oriented high school, but felt I wasn’t college material and entered the military for three years. This included an all-expense paid visit to Viet Nam.
After the service I attended the University of South Florida and received a Master’s Degree in Administration. I have had three careers in my lifetime. First, as a high school teacher and administrator, second as a building contractor and third as a commercial insurance adjuster. I am now retired, living in Florida, married and have ten grandchildren: including two sets of twins.
