The war in Vietnam was ramping up. The French had left. America was the cleanup crew.A young man named Michael T. Worden became a Marine. His tour of duty took him into 13 months of combat with the 2nd Battalion, 12th Marines. He faced a jungle filled with snakes, leeches, and disease. He saw things no human should ever see. He lost friends. He lost brothers in arms.Through it all, he kept a journal. This is his truth. This is his story. This is his history.
